The Upper Valley Career Center Education Foundation supports the school’s dynamic vision of excellence and the idea that all students deserve the same opportunity.
With increased enrollment, the school has seen an increased need for financial assistance. Families struggle to provide the tools and equipment needed for a career tech education while also keeping up with the rising cost of living. The Education Foundation Trustees have determined that now is the time for bold action and have proposed an aggressive fundraising goal that can help meet this need for years to come.
The Upper Valley Career Center opened its doors in 1975 and immediately impacted the educational and career options for Miami and Shelby County high school and adult students. Five decades later, UVJVS/UVCC graduates are successful leaders working and serving across the region and around the globe. The UVCC Education Foundation was established in 2002 and has awarded many thousands of dollars in scholarships in the years since. The Education Foundation trustees are responsible for providing prudent management of investments under the Foundation’s governance and in conjunction with The Troy Foundation. In October 2024, UVCC broke ground on an $18M Ohio Facilities Construction Commission Career (OFCC) Technical Expansion Project, which increased facility size by 20%. The additional lab and classroom space allows the school to accommodate 150 additional high school students, as well as expanding opportunities in post-secondary adult education.
