Lester and Cleon Bowers Family Scholarship
This scholarship is available to graduating seniors of Miami East High School pursuing a 1, 2 or 4 year post-secondary program at an accredited college, university or technical school. The scholarship is based on academic effort, integrity and community service. One $1,200.00 scholarship will be given. Applications are available at the high school guidance office.
Elizabeth and Leon Brown and Frank and Sara Montross Scholarship
This scholarship is available to graduating seniors who reside in either the Troy City School District or Miami East School District. Students may attend Troy Christian High School or Lehman Catholic High School if residents of the aforementioned schools districts. Eleven (11) $10,000 four year renewable scholarships will be awarded to students who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school. Morris and Mildred Duer Scholarship
This $800 scholarship is awarded to a Miami East High School senior to pursue an education at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. The scholarship applies to the first year of post-secondary instruction only. Applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Max H. Duff Family Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of Max and is awarded to Miami East High School graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in agriculture or its related sciences at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university or at a technical or trade school. Candidates must have been active members of the Miami East FFA chapter for at least 3 years. Applications are available at the Miami East High School Guidance Office. At least one $500 scholarship will be awarded.
Mildred W. Fredericks Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to graduating seniors of Miami East High School who reside in either Brown or Lost Creek Township and are pursuing further education at a college or university in a course of study of not less than 4 years leading to a bachelor’s or master’s degree or its equivalent. At least one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each year. Information and applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Catherine Fulton Bensman Memorial Scholarship
This $500 scholarship to be awarded to a graduating senior from Miami East High School with a minimum GPA of 3.0, participated in one or more sports teams while at Miami East, participated as an active member of 4-H or the Miami East FFA Program. Application available through the high school guidance office.
The Suzanne Hartzell Wallace Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to one Miami East High School senior to pursue an education at an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school. Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded. Applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Miami East Alumni Association Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is given by the Miami East Alumni Association and is available to graduating seniors who will pursue their education at an accredited 2 or 4 year university. Information and applications may be obtained at the high school guidance office.
Miami East Senior Basketball Scholarship
One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior and a member of their respective basketball team. Eligible students must have a 2.5 GPA and a varsity letter their senior year. Applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Miami East Education Foundation Scholarship
Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who will be continuing their education at a regionally accredited college, university or technical school. Must have a 2.5 GPA Information and applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Jean Morrow Memorial Scholarship
Four $500 scholarships will be awarded to a Miami East graduating senior who will be continuing their education at an accredited college, university, or technical school. Information and applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Rappold Family “First Generation” Scholarship
One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Miami East graduating senior who will attend a 2 or 4 year college or university and will be the first in their immediate family to attend a college or university. Applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Bud Runner Memorial Scholarship
Two $1,000 scholarship are available to graduating seniors of Miami East High School Seniors, who have been accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year collage or university in a course of study leading to a degree in areas addressed through STEM: Science, including the field of medicine, Technology, Engineering and Math. Applications are available through the high school guidance office.
Rhonda Stewart Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Rhonda Stewart and is available to a graduating senior of Miami East High School who will attend an accredited four-year college or university to pursue a degree as a Registered Nurse. Applicants must have a accumulative GPA of at least a 3.4, be involved in at least one extra-curricular activity and be pursuing a degree as a Registered Nurse. One $1,000 scholarship will be given. Kevin Scully McMaken Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Kevin Scully McMaken, a 2012 Miami East graduate. Kevin was a Firefighter and Paramedic for the City of Kettering. He loved his job as a firefighter/paramedic and had made an impact in his short time working in Kettering. This scholarship is designed to help carry on his passion for public service. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating Miami East senior pursuing a career in public service. Information is available through the high school guidance office.
Taylor Family Scholarship
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Miami East senior who will be attending an accredited program at a two-year or four-year college, university of technical school. This scholarship will be based one need, scholarship and activities. Information and applications are available at the high school guidance office.
Walnut Grove Learning Center Early Childhood Scholarship
One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Miami East graduating senior who will pursue a 2 or 4 year degree in early childhood education. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additional information and applications are available at the high school guidance office.
Kathryn C. White Memorial Scholarship
This $375 scholarship is available to graduating Miami East seniors who reside in Brown Township and will be attending an accredited a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. Applications are available at the high school guidance office.
Harold F. (Hal) Willis Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Hal Willis, this $750 scholarship is available to a graduating Miami East or Troy High School male student pursuing post high school education at The Ohio State University in the field of accounting and/or finance. Miami County Master Gardener’s Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is available to any graduating senior of a Miami County High School to attend a two or four year college, university, or technical school majoring in one of the following fields of study; Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or Conservation.
