Brent J. Black Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is available to a graduating Troy High School or Miami East High School senior attending an accredited program at a two-year or four-year college or university majoring in Business.
Elizabeth Ann Bridge Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are pursuing college, vocational or technical training. One $1,200 scholarship will be awarded.
Elizabeth and Leon Brown and Frank and Sara Montross Scholarship
This scholarship is available to graduating seniors residing in either the Troy City School District or Miami East School District. Students may attend Troy Christian or Sidney Lehman High School if residents of either of the aforementioned school districts. $10,000 three year renewable scholarships will be given to students who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school. Scholarship may be renewed with full time student status and a GPA of at least 2.0.
John J. Cermak Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are pursuing a degree in the field of Science, Engineering, or Math, with a particular concentration in Science at a four year institution. One $750 scholarship will be awarded.
Class of 1950 Memorial Award Scholarship
Established by the Class of 1950, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are pursuing post high school education at a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Class of 1961 Scholarship
Established by the Class of 1961, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are pursuing post high school education at a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. Two $2,500 scholarship will be awarded.
Ian M. Denoyer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mike and Susan Denoyer in honor and in memory of their son, Ian M. Denoyer. Graduating seniors of Troy High School who have been active in the Boy Scouts of America are eligible to apply with preference given to those who have attained the rank of Eagle Scout. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Christine Rae Dixon Scholarship
Bill and Donna Dixon established this scholarship in memory of their daughter, Christine Rae Dixon. One 2,500 scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who plan to pursue a two or four year degree. The recipient will be chosen based on the following criteria, in order of priority: need, educational performance and activities.
Fly High Girls Scholarship
Established to honor the memory of Dejah Jazmine Alexander-Bishop, Dionanna Jada Alexander-Bishop and Jakia Samantha Jones who died in 2015 due to carbon monoxide poisoning, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are economically disadvantaged. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Liam Seamus Gillespie Memorial Scholarship
A $500.00 scholarship is available to a graduating senior from either Troy High School or a Miami County resident attending Lehman Catholic High School, that will be attending an accredited Junior College or Technical School. Applicant must have a GPA of at least 2.0, involved in their community and a bonus for distance runners. The student must submit an essay on “How I serve my community”. One $500 scholarship will be awarded.
Goldner Family Tennis Scholarship
Established by the Goldner family, this scholarship is available to Troy High School students who played on the boys’ or girls’ tennis team earning at least one varsity letter. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and must be attending an accredited program at a two or four year college, university or technical school. $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to each qualified applicant.
Steven Grant Memorial Scholarship
Two scholarships are to be awarded this year to a graduating Troy High School student attending an accredited program at a two-year or four-year college, university or technical school. One $1,000 to be awarded to a student who participated in Track while attending Troy High School. One $1,000 to be awarded to a student who participated on the Wrestling team while attending Troy High School.
James William and Susannah P. Grove Scholarship
This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded each year to a graduating senior from both Troy High School and Newton High School who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college or university or technical school.
Charles Grump Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Troy High School senior who plans to attend an accredited college or university with a major in education. One $2,500 scholarship will be given.
Hartman Family Scholarship
Established by Miriam Hartman in memory of her husband, Warren E. Hartman, and son Gabe, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who have attended Troy High School all 4 years and are planning to pursue a four year degree at an accredited college or university. One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded.
Hartman Family Scholarship -Technical
This scholarship is also given by the Hartman family to a Troy High School senior attending Upper Valley Career Center who is planning to obtain a degree or certification at an accredited technical or vocational school. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded.
Helene Craig-Hartzell Memorial Scholarship
Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to Troy High School graduating seniors to pursue an education at an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school.
Doris High Memorial Scholarship
Four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in memory of Doris High to graduating Troy High School seniors attending an accredited program at a two-year or four-year college, university or technical school. This scholarship is based on need
Ed and Vickie Latta Scholarship
Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to Troy High School graduating seniors, one will be awarded to a student who spent the last year of elementary education as a Hook Elementary student, and one will be awarded to a student who spent the last year of elementary education as a Heywood Elementary student within Troy City Schools.
Byron and Edna May Scholarship
This scholarship will be given each year to a graduating Troy High School senior who will be attending an accredited two or four year university or to a Troy High School graduate attending graduate school. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded.
James J. and Margaret Mischler Scholarship
Established by Harland L. Mischler and family, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors planning to pursue a four year degree majoring in music. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Henrietta Mungle Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School or Upper Valley Career Center seniors who reside in the Troy School District to attend a two or four year college, vocational, or trade school. Three $4,000 scholarships are to be awarded.
Dorothy Brosius Sanders Scholarship
Established by A.A. Sanders in memory of his wife, Dorothy, this scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who plan to pursue a two or four year degree. Recipients are selected by the following criteria, in order of priority: need, educational performance, and activities. Two $1,000 scholarships are available.
Perlema and Grace Sewell Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who are pursuing college, vocational or technical training. 10 $3,500 scholarships will be awarded.
John Slonaker Music Scholarship
Established by John Slonaker, this $1,500 scholarship is available to graduating seniors majoring in Music Education at an accredited two or four year college or university and is renewable for an additional $1,000 for the next three years .
Troy Altrurian Club Scholarship
Established by the Troy Altrurian Club, this scholarship is available to students interested in pursuing vocational training.
Troy Basketball Parents Association Scholarship
This scholarship will award $500 to each eligible applicant. Applicants must have participated in the Troy City Schools basketball program for a minimum of 4 years including their senior year, have a minimum GPA of 2.75, have no Troy Athletic Code of Conduct offenses and participated in TBPA fundraising events each year of participation in the basketball program.
Troy Rotary Foundation Club Scholarship
Established by the Troy Rotary Club this scholarship is only available to Troy High School Interact Club members who have been active in Interact for at least three years, are recommended by their advisor, and who otherwise meets the eligibility criteria. Applicants will be selected based on their involvement with the Troy Rotary Club’s service initiatives in addition to academic achievement. One $1,000 scholarship is available.
Troy Rotary Community Service Scholarship
Established by the Troy Rotary Club this scholarship is available to any graduating senior residing in the City of Troy and/or Troy School District, who has been active in in community service, is recommended by their advisor, and who otherwise meets the eligibility criteria. One $1,000 scholarship is available.
Barbara E. Wannemacher Scholarship
This $600 scholarship will be awarded each year to a graduating female from Troy High School majoring in English and/or History. This scholarship will be based on need and demonstration of good character.
James and Glenna Welbaum Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to Troy High School graduating seniors who will pursue a degree at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. The scholarship will be for tuition only. Eligible candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and have participated in interscholastic sports. One $1,000 scholarship will be given.
Harold (Hal) F. Willis Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Hal Willis this $750 scholarship is available to a graduating Troy High or Miami East High School male student pursuing post high school education at The Ohio State University in the field of accounting and/or finance.
Darin Hinkle Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Darin Hinkle. It is available to Troy High school seniors who attend to pursue a 2 or 4 year post-secondary education at a college, university, vocational, or trade school. Eligible candidates for this scholarship will have participated as a member of the Varsity Soccer or Varsity Bowling teams while attending Troy High School. Two $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Donald E. Eaton and Fonda Lou Eaton Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who attended at least two years at Thomas E. Hook Elementary. It is payable second semester. 22 $5,000 scholarships are available. It is renewable for one additional year.
Dr. P. C. Patel Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School or Upper Valley Career Center who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college, university, or technical school full time. Preferably with a STEM focus. It will be based on need and applicants must have at least a 3.75 GPA.
Robert A. Fletcher Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Troy High School seniors who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college, university, or trade school and will graduate with at least a 3.0 GPA. The Recipient must show respect to teachers, administrators, and staff, and is seen as a leader and kind and caring classmate by their peers, and who contributes positively to the school community. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded.
